Museum dedicated to the life and work of the Belgian Art Nouveau architect Victor Horta (1861-1947). Designed by Horta himself, the building comprises two sections, the architect's former home (east) and his adjacent studio (west), built together in 1898. In the splendid Art Nouveau interiors is a permanent display of furniture, utensils and art objects designed by Horta and his contemporaries as well as documents related to his life and time. The museum also organises temporary exhibitions on topics related to Horta and his art. In the year 2000, the house and studio (along with three other Horta town houses) were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
