The Spanish Senate (Spanish: Senado de España) is the upper house of the Parliament of Spain (Spanish: Cortes Generales). The Senate has 264 members, 208 of whom are directly elected by popular vote and 56 being appointed by the regional legislatures.
All senators serve four-year terms, though those appointed by the regional legislatures can be recalled by them at any time.
