The Kiyza station was built in 1928 in connection with the construction of the Tallinn–Viljandi railway line, built at the beginning of the century. Together with the railway station, a magnificent two-story stone building of the station, reminiscent of an estate, which is currently used by the Edelaraudtee company, was built. The building is built according to a special project, the detailing of which is very similar to the railway station projects of Leon Johansson of that period. Two massive side wings of the building of the Kiysa train station are connected by a narrower central part, where the main entrance is also located.
