Point Walking Bear, is the western tip a piece of the Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve which extends into Lake Erie. It is named after Chief Joc-O-Sot also known as Walking Bear. He was a Distinguished Sauk Chief, who lived in Cleveland in the 1830's and is buried in a prominent grave in downtown Cleveland's Erie Street Cemetery.
