A village in the Manyas district of Balıkesir, Turkey, called Manyas before the district center was relocated to the village of Tatar to the northeast (modern Manyas) in 1890; subsequently the village was called Eski Manyas and Atik Manyas, both meaning "Old Manyas." On a hill south of the village are located the remains of a medieval fortified settlement, identified with Byzantine Poimanenon or Poimanenos.
