Shri Kanaka Narsimha Temple

This is the location just at the outskirt of the Mundargi town, on the hill is situated the ancient temple of Lord Narsimha built by Rangarao Nadgauda in the early 18th Century. Little upwards are the remains of the ancient Fort of Mundargi. In 1857 a war against the British was fought under the leadership of Bhimrao Nadgauda. Every year during the Holi a Jatra is celebrated.. Most of the villagers participate in the fair voluntarily. It is a good tourist spot with serenity and unique calm. Best season to visit is november to february.
