Pasar Baru is the most popular place for shopping and most crowded area in Bandung. This building located in Oto iskandar Dinata (formerly known as Pasar Baroeweg ). Pasar Baru is an oldest place in Bandung which still stands to this day. Before these places replace the old market in the region Ciguriang (around king shopping center) which burned in 1842.

To accommodate the traders who separated and the market activity which become not uniformly, then in 1884 the new located for trading business opened in west site in Pecinan. This location is well known as Pasar Baru.

Pasar Baru now increasingly crowded with traders, both native and immigrant. This road is always jammed during the day, because trough the way full with people who sell and shopping. In 2001 was build a new building to accommodate the trader who increased each year, and in 2003 this building was announced by the mayor. Earliest this market concept is traditional but by the time now become modern.
