This is the Margaret Shaft of the Stilfontein Gold Mine which is currently owned and operated by the Margaret Water Company. The shaft extends from surface to 18 Level at 1 293 m below collar. A
pump station is installed at 16½ Level, 1 273 m below collar and another pump station is installed
at 10½ Level, 919 m below collar.
