house, Grade II Listed (UK), 19th century construction, barn conversion
Shippon and former stable circa 1800 of English garden wall bond brown brick with grey slate roof. 2 storeys. Cambered arches above window and divided doors to lower storey, some altered with concrete lintels. Brick vents of "double-cross" pattern. Pitch-holes in lofts carefully converted to round-arched loading doors, with boarded doors. Pitching eye in right end gable. Interior: partly altered. Some cross-tieing shippons remain in place. The loft, refloored, has arched openings, formed with oak cambered lintels, in cross-walls. Oak purlins. Fine queen-post trusses.
