Danube is a city in in sections 5-6 of Troy Township, Renville County, Minnesota. The population was 505 at the 2010 census.

The city was founded in 1899 as a local trade center for farmers with the arrival of the Hastings and Dakota Railway. A post office began in 1898 as Miles, and the city also incorporated as Miles in 1902, changing to Danube in 1903. It separated from the township in 1917.

It was located on the mainline of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad, completed between Chicago and the west coast during 1909. The rail line is now operated by the Twin Cities and Western.
