barn, historical building
The Glendenning barn is a simple structure, built with redwood planks in 1916. According to the Cupertino Historical Society, Robert and Margaret Glendenning came to the area from Scotland in the 1850s and likely had apricot, prune and cherry orchards on their land. The barn was built by John Leonard, who married a Glendenning.
In 2004, the city of Cupertino declared the barn a historical site, and a plaque was installed on it.
