People of the numerically larger Hutu tribe slaughtered men, women, and children of the smaller Tutsi tribe that had had hugh power over the Hutus during and after the Colonial Period. On the close order of 800,000 lives were lost. Belgium and France have been charged with helping. The UN Secretary at the time was accused of helping the Hutus by helping to import heavier arms from Egypt. The Tutsi had spears, clubs and rocks. Denying this genocide is a serious crime in Rwanda
