Surface area: 17,500 m²

Capacity: Over 165,000 physical servers.

Tier 4/Rating 4.

Power supply: 15 Megawatts of electricity available to the servers, completely redundant thanks to two separate Power Centers. Each Power Center has the capacity to supply all 10 data rooms in the data center, even at full load, and is equipped with double conversion UPS systems (2N + 1 redundancy).

Green data center: All energy used to power the data center, thanks to two different connection points to utilities, is certified by the European Guarantee of Origin (GO) and produced using 100% renewable resources.
The Global Cloud Data Center Campus also includes a large photovoltaic system and a hydroelectric unit. The entire air-conditioning system for the data rooms uses a geothermal system that makes use of the cold water found underground.
The rack cabinets housing the servers are equipped with a cold air containment system.

Bandwidth: In terms of connectivity, the data center IT3 can rely on an ultra-redundant bandwidth of more than 100 Gb/s. The main carriers reach the Global Cloud Data Center Campus from 4 entry points corresponding to the 4 cardinal points.
The campus is also connected to the Milan Internet eXchange (MIX), the main exchange point (NAP) in Italy, via a double dark fiber system.

Networking: Each rack cabinet has multiple redundant connections to the star center made up of fiber optics capable of transmitting up to 100 Gb/s and category 7A copper data cables capable of transmitting up to 10 Gb/s. The core networking equipment is Cisco Nexus 7000.

Physical security: The data center is equipped with automatic fire detection and inert gas extinguishing systems. It is also fitted with a flood detection system.
The site is also equipped with armoured doors and windows, anti-climb barriers on the perimeter fence, an anti-intrusion alarm system on every rack row in the data rooms, connected to the access control system with two-factor authentication.
There is also a CCTV system consisting of over 250 cameras. There are 6 access levels within the data center, with 7 security perimeters.

Monitoring 24 hours a day: The data center is monitored by the Network Operations Center (NOC) and the Security Operation Center (SOC) 24/7. A BMS (Building Management System) monitors and manages both locally and remotely the systems and environmental parameters within the data center, with real-time alerts in the event of failure.

ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ISO 14001 certified: The data center has the quality certification ISO 9001:2015 and security certification ISO 27001:2013 as well as ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management standards.
