Spencer Spit State Park not only has great camping sites on land, there also are a limited number of mooring buoys for boats. The long stretches of rocky-sand beaches warm up in the summer sun. When the incoming tide rolls in, the warmed beach brings the water up to a temp that is nearly nice for wading. Peaceful, with dramatic views down Lopez sound or north to Mt. Constituion on Orcas, it is a great day stop while on bicycles or terrifc overnight too.
