The Top Crop I wind farm (ie: Top Crop phase I) is located about 9-12 miles east of Streator, Illinois, immediately to the west of Top Crop II and entirely in LaSalle County. Commissioned in 2009, it consists of 68 GE Energy 1.5sle (1.5 MW) wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 102 MW.
