The Gunderson group consists of 50 acres and 5 claims discovered by D. Gunderson in 1896. When first discovered, it was called the King George. By 1915, it was known as the Minnesota. In that year it was recorded some of the mine equipment included a horse-whim, a car, and dwelling. The ore was being processed at the Red Dog custom mill.
