The project was implemented within the framework of the Federal Target Program “Nuclear power technologies of a new generation for the period 2010–2015 and beyond 2020”.
The work under state-level contracts "Research and development work to justify the technical and design solutions to create a multifunctional radiochemical research complex. Stages of 2013–2015” covered the development of protective, lifting, transport and technological equipment of the polyfunctional radiochemical research complex as well as processes and equipment for the management, conditioning and immobilization of radioactive waste generated during the complex operation.
The construction and installation works included the preparatory period, dismantling of buildings and structures in the building site, removal of networks, arrangement of the construction site, construction of temporary buildings and structures, construction of the main building.
According to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 30.11.2018 No. 1451, the Federal Target Program “Nuclear power technologies of the new generation for the period 2010–2015 and beyond 2020” was terminated to transfer into a comprehensive program aimed at the development of nuclear science, engineering and technologies as one of the main directions of the scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation as well as at achieving goals of the Russian Federation development established by subparagraphs “e” and “i” of paragraph 1 of the Presidential Decree of the Russian Federation of May 7, 2018 No. 204 “On the national goals and strategic objectives of the development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2024”.
