One of the Poorest Barangays in Catmon, Cebu, it only has a population of approximately 320 people due to the fact that flat lands is scarce as the entire barangay straddles upon rolling hills and mountain sides with huge cliffs and inhospitable terrain in the interior. It's neighboring barangays of Bongyas (approx. 300 people) and Amancion (approx. 205 people, the lowest population of any barangay in Cebu Island) has also the same terrain problem, and also includes most mountain barangays of the nearby municipality of Tuburan.

Government services and aid coming from the town center is simply non-existent though attempts are sometimes made to do some outreach work to the people, and since the place is very far and you need to pass-by many unforgiving terrains, it's no wonder why this places in the mountains are very poor and under-developed.
