Krueger Ranch

Former alfalfa ranch owned by the Krueger family. After WWII, Alvin Krueger started a tuberculosis sanitarium here and provided housing and care for 60 patients. With the advent of antibiotics, the sanitarium was later turned into a boys' home sometime between 1965 and 1971. Some of the ranch buildings continued to be used during this period while others were torn down. It was also during this time that the distinctive semi-circle of buildings was constructed.

Brother Raymond and his wife, Frances, also worked on the ranch.
