British s.r.l. was founded in 1970 by Mr. Edward Clegg. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious schools of English in Genoa. We have over 45 years experience in English Language Teaching.

The school is located in 12 September XX Street (Via XX Settembre), the city’s main street both for shopping and business.

The school organises group courses for all levels and for all age groups. There are ports from four to twelve students per class for all general English courses; these courses focus on conversation, grammar, listening as well as some written exercises. We also have specific conversation courses where there are a maximum of six people per class. We also offer preparation for Cambridge Exams. These courses hold from four to twelve people and are aimed specifically at exam preparation. Facsimiles of exams are given throughout the course.

Individual lesson are also offered. These are catered to the needs of the student.

We offer translations from Italian to English and vice versa, and we organise study courses abroad based on the needs and preferences of the client.

All our teachers are mother tongue, and they are all either TEFL or CELTA certified. The teachers are coordinated by the Director of Studies, and both the teaching methods and the materials used are constantly updated.
