From Doors Open Ottawa:

"The Library and Archives Canada building consists of two symmetrical four-story wings and a nine-story central building. The four lower floors, with their large plate glass surfaces, flank a raised forecourt facing onto Wellington Street. The opaque tower, rising above the central part of the building, houses the rows of bookshelves and has small square openings. An auditorium juts out and connects to the west façade of the building. Located at the western end of Ottawa’s parliamentary precinct, on land overlooking the Ottawa River, the building is highly visible from many viewpoints. Of interest to visitors: the glass engravings of John Hutton; The Secret Bench of Knowledge of Lea Vivot; and exhibitions: Anne of Green Gables, Treaty of Paris, Order of Canada, In Your Face."

Formerly known as the National Archives of Canada.
