Cobron's Fortress was a fortification in Latvia on the Düna River (Daugava), in the middle of Riga, built by the Scottish service, Samuel Cobron, in service in Sweden, in August 1621, under Riga's siege at the "tower" on the left bank of the river. Polish attacks 30 and 31 August were rejected. Skansen, which was built as four-star starch, declined after Riga's entry, but was repaired from 1624-1625; 1640-1646, the ransom of Rodenburg was rebuilt "according to the correct rule". In 1656 it was successfully defended under the Siege of Siegfried, 1663-1666, the scandal of Jacob Staël von Holstein was given with grave, covered road and ravelin. In 1697 the fence was fired, and its rebuilding began in 1698. When the Sachs 1700 attacked Riga, the shot on one side was completely open; During General Carlowitz they stormed and took the night until February 14, the skansen, which by then was called Oranienbaum and from which they already opened the 17th fire against Riga. When Karl XII passed Düna on July 9, 1701, the Sachs evacuated the same day. The fort was heavily injured the following day, because one of them left me in the air. Its rebuilding continued, and one of the Russians in August 1705 made an effort to empower the bracket to ward off. In 1709, the fort was ravaged, which was occupied by the Russians in October that year, who built batteries for 7 murderers against Riga and, incidentally, repaired the bracket, which they now called Peter's skans
