Zhegushan Tunnel is an important node project of The Wenma Expressway, with an average altitude of 3200 meters, a maximum depth of about 1350 meters and a total length of 8.8 kilometers. The project began in 2012 and will be fully completed in February 2018. It is the second longest tunnel on the Wenma Expressway and the longest highway tunnel in the country at an altitude of more than 3000 meters. The time to cross Lushan will be reduced from about 1 hour to 7 minutes.
