Ruinaulta
Die Ruinaulta oder Rheinschlucht ist eine bis zu 400 Meter tiefe Schlucht des Vorderrheins zwischen Ilanz und der Mündung des Hinterrheins bei Reichenau im Kanton Graubünden in der Schweiz. Die Ruinaulta entstand nach dem Flimser Bergsturz vor beinahe 10'000 Jahren. An den Seitenwänden der Schlucht sind dabei steile Kalksteinklippen und imposante Felsformationen entstanden.
The Ruinaulta or Rhine ravine is an up to 400 meters deep ravine of the front Rhine between Ilanz and the delta of the Hinterrheins, with Reichenau in the canton grey federations in Switzerland. The Ruinaulta developed after the Flimser landslip before almost 10.000 years. At the side panels of the ravine thereby steep limestone cliffs and impressive rock formations developed.
