This 53-story building, with 672 units was built in 1973, and to this day is the tallest, most northern building in the city of Chicago at 553 feet. Originally apartments, the building converted into condos in November 1981.
Newberry Plaza was one of the first buildings in the country to have "sky homes" or duplex type housing above street level. The building features an olympic size swimming pool, and several restaurants inside including Morton's and Grotto.
