  • This outskirt village is about 10 km from the Kuala Lumpur city centre. It took after the name of state of Selangor Chief Minister at that time, Datuk Harun Idris. It typifies the Malay exodus into the city centre and its suburb, post the riot in 1969. Its importance in the Malay settlement rights has recently been hotly contested. Its existence ended August 31st 2007, to coincide with Malaysia's 50th independence. The local municipal council, MPAJ, and with the struggling developer Sri Seltra are the winners of the contest.
  • 2005 was the target for stinggan sifar, it was then extended another 5 years. Good thing developer taking over the land they are giving compensation. The case with DBKL they just took the land without paying anything, and the land will remain idle for few more years to come. The villagers will have to look elsewhere for a place to stay. They don't call DBKL mafia for nothing.
  • What's happening with this area now? I saw them fixing stronger fence few weeks ago. Looks like it's about to be developed. Houses? Apt? Mixed?
