The Homigot Lighthouse was built in 1908 to prevent ship grounding in this area after a Japanese ship-wreck in 1907. It was designed by a French architect and Chinese engineers assisted in the construction. The Lighthouse History Hall has a collection of artifacts relevant to this and other lighthouses through the ages.
