Guryongpo Modern History Museum;

The building that now houses the Guryongpo Modern History Museum was the home of Hashimoto Jenkichi, who immigrated from Kagawa, Japan in the 1920s, was a two-story Japanese-style wooden building. After Korean independence, it was used as a private house. Pohang City purchased the house and restored it as the Guryongpo Modern History Museum.

The museum features articles from a hundred years ago. The lifestyles during that time are well depicted by a variety of museum exhibits. The museum building showcases Japanese buildings’ structural and aesthetical features, holding the interest of visitors the museum year-round.
