theatre, monument, place with historical importance, venue
Originally built in the 1930s (I believe as a WPA project), this stone acoustic shell has served as the venue for concerts of all sorts,
religious services, theatrical presentations and patriotic ceremonies. It was allowed to deteriorate over many years, and the City was
about to demolish it, when a group of citizens stepped forward with spirit and drive and some generous financial contributions, and
signed a lease with the City to renovate it and operate it.
