Wind usually from WNW. Inside usually less wind than outside. Use combination of SFO, 3rd Ave Channel, Coyote point sensors and your gut feeling for gear selection.
On WNW days you can use Candlestick sensor to forecast upcoming conditions somewhat.

Kites can be launched (shallow beach on the left) but there are power lines to watch for and also inside-outside wind difference is not nice.
