Along the River, Its mostly Salt this far down. The pier extends out into the water a decent ways. Fish a shrimp or small pinfish on a weight out of the SouthEastern corner.
as of 2006 the pier had been damaged, it lost most of the boards coming offshore in one of the hurricanes, someone has also managed to burn a section of it. The pilings are still there near shore with some climbing you can get up on it. My recomendation is to just go down the back and waid out into the shallows. The ground drops off pretty sharply so watch your step.
