The pink granite from this quarry was used in the construction of The Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Station, Brooklyn Bridge, South Station in Boston, West Point Battle Memorial (largest piece of polished granite in Western Hemisphere), Lincoln Memorial, and Grant's Tomb. Part of the original quarry is used as hiking trails while a smaller portion is still used as a quarry.
