This is the penultimate good-old-boy hang-out joint where self-congratulatory fraudsters go to slap each other on the back while trying to figure out, at the very same time, how to screw each other out of the next contract. Swimming with sharks personifies the menu when dinning with three or more people of equal or higher rank at this establishment.

...but relax. If you're eating here, you can always rationalize the experience by reminding yourself that "at least I'm not eating at the Awase Golf Course restaurant."

Tyler Durden sez:
Eating at Sams by the Sea?
In that case, sir, may I advise against eating the clam chowder?

  • Sams is a great place not sure what experience the author had but it certainly wasn't the food. Most Americans on the island today are pampered and spoiled. Having been there for over 12 years I can tell you the sixtes and even late seventies were the good times. The island was cleaner, more open and we didn't expect to have Burger King, or chilies on base, we went out on the local economy to eat. Now they act like its a pain if they don't get the right eye shadow at the BX.. Sams is great and as for fraudsters l see as many wearing uniforms today. all talk until they have to really put it on the line and miss their cable tv, and air conditioned tents.
