Small basketball court on the White House grounds. Circa 2008-9 the nearby White House Tennis Court was repainted with basketball court lines ---providing more play-room and also better security (further from passersby on the curved sidewalk just to the west) than this site. New tree plantings along the west edge somewhat encroach on the site's space, indicating that the move of basketball gaming to the tennis court is likely a long-term relocation. Just to the north was a small area for playing horseshoes ---which was also removed (and covered-over with turf-plug grass squares) during the 2008-9 renovations.
