Founded in 1780, this is the first English-speaking Moravian church in the region. The church moved in 1896 to this location from an area 2 miles to the southwest, and has since undergone frequent additions and renovations.

The original church is located to the south on Copeland road, and the original graveyard is still there and is maintained by Hope Moravian.
