  • Red Coloured water found here, may be due to mud.
  • it has got an ancient history wherein there is a shiv mandir said to be built by the pandavas a waterfall coming from mountain falls on the shivlinga and that water which joins to the sea that npart is red and the place tamastirth hence called is in karazgaon and not ladghar
  • Its due to some kind of micro bacterial or plankton overgrowth in sea water.
  • From ancient time ,it has observed that some part of sea looks red in colour,as the botttom of sea contains red particals of sand and gravels which reflects on bright sun rays which enters our eyes filling red sea, called TAMASTIRTH.This situation is at kovallum beach in kerala ,but at last it is nature's beauty of tamastirth village. There should not be any superstition.
