The uninhabited Gra Kera monastery is dedicated to the birth of Virgin Mary (Panagia). The name comes after Iera Kera i.e. Holy Lady. The monastery in 1632 became a dependency of the larger monastery of Gonia Odigitria at Kolimbari as mentioned in a document, so it was already operating.
The temple is built in the middle of the monastery complex and bears characteristic decor of the Venetian Era. The temple was renovated and redecorated with a new temple in 1953. Around the church one can to see the monks' cells, an oven, a well and a stable.
