The Palace of Auburn Hills is a sports and entertainment arena in Auburn Hills, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. The arena opened on August 13, 1988. It was the home arena of the NBA's Detroit Pistons from its opening until the 2017-2018 season, when they moved to the Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit. It was also the home of the WNBA's Detroit Shock from 1998 to 2009. Other teams that have used the arena include the Detroit Vipers of the IHL (1994-2001), the Detroit Safari of the USL (1994-1997), the Detroit Rockers of the NPSL (1997-2000), and the Detroit Fury of the AFL (2001-2004). It has also hosted numerous concerts and other special events throughout its history. The arena was constructed at a cost of $70,000,000 and has a seating capacity of 22,076 including 193 luxury boxes. It is widely considered to be the first modern-style NBA arena.

The Palace of Auburn Hills was the site of two brawls, one between the Pacers and Pistons in 2004 ("Malice at the Palace"), and one between the Sparks and Shock in 2008.

When vacated by the Pistons in 2017, it was the third-oldest arena in the NBA.

The Palace began to be demolished in February 2020, demolition was finished in July 2020 with a controlled implosion of the roof.
