Former Civilian Conservation Corps camp, converted to a prisoner of war camp in 1945. Nearly 200 Germans prisoners were housed here during the closing days of the war. Prisoners worked as laborers at nearby businesses such as Pesche's. After the war the camp became a Girl Scouts facility before being demolished c. 1970. Currently a picnic grove with some relics of the camp still intact.
