The Gallieni Peninsula is a vast peninsula located south of Grande Terre Island. It has a central position betwee, the Rallier du Baty peninsula (West) and the Jeanne d'Arc peinisula (East). Its highest point is the Mont Ross, culminating 1 850 m above sea level, the highest point of the entire Kerguelen archipelago.

Its name comes from Joseph Gallieni, Governor of Madagascar from 1896 to 1905, given by Raymond Rallier du Baty during one of its many expeditions to the Kerguelen during the 20th century.
