railway, underpass, bridge
The present configuration was built starting in August 2007 as part of a BNSF Railway project to improve the railroad bridges in Renton. Construction took about a year, but the underpass did not open for another two years or so due to unknown developments.
Before the rebuilding project, this underpass was a one-lane affair with low vertical clearance of 6.5 feet (2m). Photo: www.pbase.com/listorama/image/78811666 .
