Designed by the firm of Tooker & Marsh c. 1939 in the Colonial Revival style for the Knightsbridge Owner’s Corp. for mainly professionals and young couples whose parents were immigrants in the early 1900s. The entrance is set off the street in a landscaped garden court with brick walkway. The entrance bay projects from the building and is topped with a large classical pediment. Decorative brickwork imitates corner quoins. A prominent cornice unifies the facade. The entrance bay is flanked on either side by identical verandas. Each veranda is supported by four columns and topped with a balustrade. Arched lobby windows line the verandahs. The front door surround consists of a classical pediment on supporting pilasters. The two apartment lines at the front of the building and immediately adjacent to the front have bay widows in their living rooms. Windows on upper stories are four-over-four double-hung. A detached garage was added in 1953, followed by a parking lot in 1985. The building suffered fire damage in 1971.
