The Department of Media Studies exposes students to both theoretical and practical training in ‘Media Studies’, which is a branch of Mass Communication school. The focus is on mutual relations between media and contemporary society. The related knowledge and training will be integrated through digital technologies to nurture well-rounded communicators in the era of electronic media.

The Journalism programme adapts a media-centred approach in studying the interaction between mass media and society. Meanwhile, the Radio and TV programme covers fundamental theories and knowledge of radio and television. And the Advertising programme familiarizes students with the key areas of communication, public relations, advertising and marketing.

These programmes equip students with a range of practical skills through creative approaches to prepare them for the challenges that lie ahead in the rapidly-changing field of the communication industry.
