Chapel Saint Pol

This chapel raises itself in the middle of rocks, near the point of Beg-Pol, which closes the West of the bay of Pontusval. The building of the XVIth century, reconstructed largely in 1870, spend as being situated in the location of a old monastic site established by saint Paul-Aurélien. According to the tradition, when a sailor gets lost at sea, its body returns to the coast three days after a mass was said in its honor in the chapel. It was the case for Henri de Trobriand, flooded on September 12th, 1912 between Pontusval and Aber-Wrac'h.
