Big Sky wind farm is located in the state of Illinois, between 90-100 miles WSW of downtown Chicago, and well inside the triangle formed by the towns of Walnut, La Moille and Amboy. It covers an area of about 22,000 acres, mostly farmland. Commissioned in 2011, it consists of 114 Suzlon S88/2100 wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 239.4 MW.
