Macau Peninsula is the oldest and most populous part of the former Portuguese territory of Macau, now a special administrative region of the People's Republic of China. It has an area of 8.5 km² (4 x 1.8) and is geographically connected to Zhuhai, Mainland China, at the northeast, through an isthmus 200-metre wide.
