This lake would be turned into a tailings pond if the proposed Prosperity Mine is developed. The project proponent is Taseko Mines. Fish Lake has been defended by the Tsilhqot'in First Nation and the mine project was rejected in 2010 by the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency Review Board.
