Magdalena Island

This uninhabited island is home to Los Pingüinos Natural Monument, it is the breeding location for several species of seabirds, most notably the Magellanic penguins, and is the larges penguin colony in Chilean Patagonia and is the only penguin colony of Magellanic penguins near Punta Arenas. Apart from penguins, the island is also home to a large numbers of Cormorants.
