  • I would like to congratulate Mr. Churchill Alemao for becoming one of our Cabinet Ministers. [ Is this a demotion or a promotion from being an honourable MP?] He used his brains to win the Assembly elections defeating the ex MLA of Navelim Constituency and then later used his tactics to join the congress, and become one of the Cabinet Ministers.. Good indeed! [Weren't the people of Navelim constituency cheesed-off with Luizinho's antics and wanted a change? Did not Churchill capitalise on these emotions?] The people of Mobor-Cavelossim, Velim, Betul, Ambelim and Assolna are waiting that he would join them to stop the dredging activity of the river and to tow away the Casino Boat. He was always there for the people to stop all irregularities. Whenever it came to save Goa , he was the first person to make a move. [This time it so happened that Leela needed to be saved rather than Goa or the people. Pity that Goa or the people did not come to him first]. Like he always said its because of him that the Mopa Airport and the Regional Plan has been scrapped, he stopped the screening of the controversial film Da Vinci Code and so on. The scrapping of the Airport and the Regional Plan is just an eyewash and where as, as the film is concerned more and more people watched it through CDs and DVDs as they were curious to know what exactly was the controversy about, which otherwise some would not have been interested. The Citizens of Cavelossim were in deep sleep; to now realize that there are illegal constructions come up in their own village.
