Constructed circa-1890, this detached house is a compact block in form, made of fired brick. It was the first house on the west side of Main Avenue to take advantage of the steep slope by creating one story on Main Avenue and two stories to the west. It is similar to many of the American Territorial houses in the Armory Park neighborhood in both style and material. The porch, supported by slender wood posts, wraps the northeast corner and is contained under the pyramidal roof. Brick lintels over doors and windows have a very slight arch.
